How to Apply

USE

For use on new or refinished wood interior floors, cabinetry, millwork, furniture, walls, ceilings, trim, siding, countertops, etc.

WOOD PREP

Paint should be applied to a clean dry surface, free of dust, grime, wax, debris, or other contaminants. Previous finishes should be stripped or sanded off. Sand with 220 grit sandpaper and remove dust with a damp cloth.

PRODUCT PREP

Open can and stir well, incorporating the bottom. Do not thin or shake.

COVERAGE

​1 quart treats up to 100 sq. ft. Actual coverage varies based on application and surface type.

APPLICATION

​First, TEST on an inconspicuous swatch. Apply a thin, even coat of stain in the direction of the wood grain using a natural bristle brush. Keep a wet edge as you work. Stirring occasionaly during use. Wait 5-10 minutes, then wipe excess away. Wait longer for darker color results. For best results, store and use only when temperature is between55-90°F(19-32°C) and relative humidity is below 85%.Do not work out of the can.

DRY TIME

Dry to touch in 2 hours. Re-coat as needed for desired color, following the same instructions. Allow 2 hours for project re-coat time. Allow longer dry times for darker colors, cooler climates, damp/humid climates and soft woods.

CLEAN UP

Mineral spirit clean-up. Close lid securely.

FINISHES

Protect wood and color with The Varnish or The Polyurethane topcoat. Wait a minimum of two hours and apply a topcoat per the directions on the can.

STORAGE

Store product in a cool, dry place, 55-90°F. ​
